The 70th Republic Day of India was celebrated by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday, with a flag-hoisting ceremony and a reception included. In the morning, a flag-hoisting and cultural function was held at the premises of the consulate at Orchid Villa 14, An Phu Superior Villa Compound, District 2, which was attended by hundreds of Indian nationals and Indophiles, the diplomatic agency said Monday in a press release. Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City Dr. K Srikar Reddy hoisted the Indian flag, then reading the message of President of India Ram Nath Kovind, all followed by other cultural events. A National Day Reception was held by the Consulate General of India at the Rex Hotel in District 1 on the same day.
