Much of the quarterback conversation in the 2021 NFL Draft revolves around the big names at the top of the board. However, ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. does think a potential playmaker will be available in the later rounds. The upper-tier of quarterbacks in this spring's draft class has become very clear, but that doesn't mean there won't be quality signal callers available on the second and third days. On Thursday's edition of 'NFL Live,' Kiper was asked about some second-tier quarterbacks who could have solid professional careers. Alongside Stanford's Davis Mills , Kiper identified former Wake Forest and Georgia quarterback Jamie Newman as a player who might wind up looking like a steal in a few years. "Beyond that second tier, there's a kid who would've been in that second tier or maybe even first tier had he played," Kiper said. "That's Jamie Newman at Wake Forest then at Georgia, where he didn't play. You go back to 2019 at Wake Forest when he was hooking up with Sage Surratt , underrated receiver in this year's draft.
