Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff, fresh off her New York Fashion Week runway debut , is teaming up with fashion designer Batsheva Hay on a knitwear collection. “It’s so weird because I’ve followed her for a really long time, and then I was thinking about what to wear for the inauguration,” said Emhoff of the fashion designer in an interview with Good Morning Vogue on Monday. “And I got to meet her on Zoom, and I was, like, okay. So many of her designs are so cohesive to my personal wants and needs.” The partnership comes after the 21-year-old was seen wearing an embellished Miu Miu coat over a dress by Batsheva Hay on Inauguration Day. SINGAPORE: The police are searching for a man suspected of attempting to rob a pawn shop in Bedok with a kitchen chopper. Photos of the suspect were released by the police on Saturday (Jul 13). On Friday at about 1.50pm, a man wielding a kitchen chopper attempted to rob a ValueMax pawn shop at Block 213 Bedok North Street 1. The childcare centre in Punggol, which officially opened on Thursday (May 23), can take in up to 1,065 pupils, including 160 babies. SINGAPORE: A woman who slashed her husband with a kitchen knife during a dispute and threatened to harm their one-year-old son was sentenced to seven months' jail on Thursday (May 16). Fang Dong Dong, a 29-year-old Chinese national, pleaded guilty to four charges including ill-treating a child, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon and criminal intimidation, with another five charges taken into consideration. According to her defence lawyer Yeoh Jean Ann, Fang moved to Singapore in late 2016 to marry her Singaporean husband Chan Sin Kai, 50. They had a son together who was aged one at the time of the offence. The family violence began in May last year, when the couple got into a heated dispute in their Yishun condominium unit. Fang grabbed a kitchen knife, pointing it at her husband and threatening to slash him with it.
