Harrison Ford stole the show at the 93rd Academy Awards Ceremony on Sunday night, as he shared a series of scathing editing notes about one his most famous roles. On stage to introduce the nominees for the Oscar for Best Editing, the 78-year-old pulled some crumpled notes out from his pocket which he introduced as "some editorial suggestions that were prepared after the screening of a movie I was in." While the Indiana Jones star did not reveal the movie in question, it soon became apparent he was referring to Blade Runner . "Opening too choppy. Why is this voice-over track so terrible? He sounds drugged," Ford said, reading from the notes. "Were they all on drugs? Dekker at the piano is interminable. Flashback dialogue is confusing. Is he listening to a tape? Why do we need the third cut to the eggs? The synagogue music is awful on the street. We've got to use Vangelis. Up to Zora's death, the movie is deadly dull. This movie gets worse every screening." The notes … [Read more...] about What Did Harrison Ford Say About Blade Runner at the Oscars?
Harrison Ford 's legendary reaction to a mind-blowing card trick is going viral online, with people branding him a "hero" for his delivery of a smooth one-liner. The actor was being shown a card trick by magician David Blaine, who performed it in Ford's very own kitchen. As calm as ever, Blaine tells the Indiana Jones star: "Think of any card in the deck. Great, hold the deck. You're thinking of a card? Do I know what card you're thinking of?" Ford remains stoically silent throughout, watching Blaine intently, as he continues: "Your card just left the deck, just now. Look through the deck your card isn't there. Go ahead, look. It's not there. You won't see it there. It's nowhere." As Ford shuffles the pack, Blaine says: "Here's what we'll do, do me a favour grab a piece of fruit for me, like one that we can open up. Yeah grab a piece of fruit, go ahead." They pick up an orange, as Blaine asks: "Can we take a knife and cut it right there? Say your card out loud." … [Read more...] about Harrison Ford’s Reaction to a Magic Trick is Spectacular: ‘Get the F*** Out of My House’
Back in 2018, during the last Ontario election, Doug Ford loved to portray himself as the best friend Ontario nurses ever had. “The first thing we’re going to do is listen to health-care professionals, including the nurses and doctors who are on the frontlines,” Ford vowed at a campaign event on April 20, 2018 in Sarnia. He repeated the line countless more times during the election. Today, the Ontario premier is far from the nurses’ best friend, increasingly engaged in fights with them over wages, staffing levels and COVID-19 -related issues from vaccinations of front-line nurses to protective gear. It’s so bad that nurses accuse Ford of not listening to them at all — the exact opposite of what he promised. Now he’s locked in a bitter new fight that has received little public attention, but could soon cost the jobs of thousands of nurses who work as care coordinators and result in pay cuts for others who continue in those jobs. In a stern letter last month to Health … [Read more...] about Ontario nurses in bitter new fight with Doug Ford
