The mandate includes the complete portfolio of ITC’s salty snack offerings including sub-brands such as Bingo Chips, Mad Angles, Tedhe Medhe, NoRulz and any future launches. The account will be managed by Havas ’ Mumbai office. The mandate includes digital campaign planning, social media management, and creative thinking for the brand across all digital platforms. The agency’s focus will be on further building and strengthening equity for the brand. GST officers arrest man for ₹ 50.03 crore ITC fraud, fake firms
GST officers have arrested a person for creating fictitious firms and committing input tax credit fraud of ₹ 50.03 crore, the finance ministry said on Sunday. The officers of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Commissionerate, Delhi East have unearthed a network of fictitious firms which "was being operated by one Vishal, who is an advocate by profession and was practising law in Karkardooma Court, Delhi", the ministry said in a statement. Vishal started this GST fraud by creating a fictitious firm in his own name, which he got registered at his residence. Subsequently, he arranged various KYCs of different persons to create multiple fictitious firms having no business activity and created for the passing on fake Input Tax Credit. Indian government announces ban on sale of e-cigarettes
NEW DELHI: India announced on Wednesday (Sep 18) a ban on the sale of electronic cigarettes, as a backlash gathers pace worldwide due to health concerns about a product promoted as less harmful than smoking tobacco. The Indian ban, which also outlaws production, import and distribution, came a day after New York became the second US state to ban flavoured e-cigarettes following a string of vaping-linked deaths. "The decision was made keeping in mind the impact that e-cigarettes have on the youth of today," Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told reporters. Infosys, Accenture to cover COVID vaccination costs for employees in India
Information Technology major Infosys Ltd and consulting and outsourcing services provider Accenture Plc said on Wednesday they would cover Covid-19 vaccination costs for their employees in India, as the country expands its massive vaccination drive. India's vaccination campaign ramped up on Monday, with people above the age of 60, and individuals 45 or older suffering from certain medical conditions, now eligible for shots. Vaccines administered at government health facilities will still be free, while private facilities cannot charge more than Rs 250 ($3.43) per dose, the government has said. "Infosys is looking at partnering with health care providers to vaccinate employees and their immediate families as eligible," chief operating officer Pravin Rao said in an emailed statement.
