At its Realme 5 smartphone series launch event, Chinese handset maker Realme made announcements about its next handset. Addressing the gathering, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said, "We’ll be launching a 64-megapixel quad camera expert.” Sheth announced that the handset will be Realme XT and while revealing the name of the handset Sheth said, “We’ll be naming the product because we call it one of the world’s first 64-megapixel phones, the phone will be named Realme XT, which is a complete expert in its price segment.” Further, he also touched upon the tentative launch of the handset by saying, “Quad me up when September ends,” -- a play on Green Day’s popular song “Wake me up when September ends” -- hinting that the launch of the Realme XT will be sometime in the second half of next month.
