We will prevail: Trump hints at 2024 presidential bid
In his first public speech since leaving office, former United States president Donald Trump has called for Republican Party unity while indicating that he might launch a third presidential bid in 2024 even as he slammed the Biden administration, claiming that the country has gone from 'America First' to 'America Last' in just one month. Photograph: Carlos Barria/Reuters Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Committee in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, the 74-year-old leader, who left the White House on January 20, stopped short of announcing to run for the president in 2024, although he gave enough indications that he is moving in that direction. "We will take back the House. We will win the Senate and then a Republican president would triumph the White House. I wonder, who that will be," he said amidst cheers from his supporters at the annual session of the committee. Trump, however, ruled out forming a new party, arguing that such a move will split votes of … [Read more...] about We will prevail: Trump hints at 2024 presidential bid
Trump’s Takeover of the GOP is Great for Biden — But Disastrous for America | Opinion
Donald Trump formally anointed himself head of the Republican Party at Sunday's Conservative Political Action Conference. The Grand Old Party, founded in 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin, is now dead. What's left is a dwindling number of elected officials who have stood up to Trump but are now being purged. Even Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell 's popularity has dropped 29 points among Kentucky Republicans since he broke with Trump. In its place is the Trump Party, whose major goal is to advance Trump's Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Its agenda is to exact vengeance on Republicans who didn't or won't support the lie or who voted to impeach or convict Trump for inciting the violence that the lie generated, and to keep attention on his grievances. As the Trump Party takes over the GOP, anti-Trump Republicans are abandoning the party in droves, thereby weakening it for general elections while simultaneously strengthening Trump's hand inside it. It's great … [Read more...] about Trump’s Takeover of the GOP is Great for Biden — But Disastrous for America | Opinion
Exclusive— Marsha Blackburn Introduces ‘The Committee of 74’ Million Who Voted for Trump: ‘Happy Warriors’ in ‘Fight for Freedom’
ORLANDO, Florida — Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) introduced a term she called “The Committee of 74,” a reference to the 74 million people who voted for former President Donald Trump, in an exclusive with Breitbart News. During the interview with Breitbart News at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU), Blackburn said that people who voted for Democrat President Joe Biden are expressing “buyer’s remorse” already. “One thing we have to realize is there is a lot of buyer’s remorse right now,” Blackburn said. As such, she argued, this “Committee of 74” who represent the millions who voted for Trump, must go out and add to the ranks of Trump supporters and people who believe in the America First agenda in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead. “I saw we are—we, that supported President Trump, we’re kind of ‘The Committee of 74,’” Blackburn said. “We’re 74 million people that supported the president. We need to be … [Read more...] about Exclusive— Marsha Blackburn Introduces ‘The Committee of 74’ Million Who Voted for Trump: ‘Happy Warriors’ in ‘Fight for Freedom’
QAnon fans think Trump Hotel is sending them a signal confirming theory ex-president will be inaugurated on March 4
QAnon fans think that Trump Hotel is sending them a signal confirming a theory that the ex-president will be inaugurated on March 4. Followers believe that the Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC , hotel is giving them a sign by raking up the hotel price on Thursday, Forbes reported. According to the outlet, the least expensive room, that comes with a king-size bed and a crown topped headboard, is usually $476 to $596 a night. However, on March 3 and 4, the price hikes to $1,331 per night. Jason Blazakis, a senior fellow at the Soufan Center, a nonpartisan think tank that looks at national security challenges, including domestic extremism told the outlet that this change in price will likely fuel the QAnon inauguration belief. "Raising room prices will surely be interpreted by QAnon as Trump’s support for the March 4 narrative," he said. "They absolutely try to interpret the words and actions of President Trump very carefully." The Sun has contacted the hotel … [Read more...] about QAnon fans think Trump Hotel is sending them a signal confirming theory ex-president will be inaugurated on March 4
Dow up 4.9% as US stocks end volatile session sharply higher
NEW YORK: Wall Street stocks finished a topsy-turvy session sharply higher on Tuesday (Mar 10) in anticipation of US stimulus measures as oil prices bounced. A day after suffering its worst decline in more than 11 years, the Dow Jones Industrial Average piled on 1,167.14 points (4.89 per cent) to reach 25,018.16. The broad-based S&P 500 also jumped 135.67 points (4.94 per cent) to 2,882.23, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index gained 393.58 points (4.95 per cent) to 8,344.25. Analysts expect the volatility to continue in light of uncertainty of how much the coronavirus will spread in the United States, the extent it further dampens activity in the world's biggest economy and the robustness of the US policy response. "I don't think everyone is going to go out today fully confident that the bottom is in," said Briefing.com analyst Patrick O'Hare. The market "is sniffing something coming down the pike," O'Hare said of an expected government stimulus, before adding … [Read more...] about Dow up 4.9% as US stocks end volatile session sharply higher
