The main event at this year’s scare fest is Curse of the Naga, an original haunted house from the directors of the afore-mentioned blockbuster films, Parkpoom Wongpoom and Gunn Purijitpanya. Universal Orlando Resumes Work On Epic Universe, Home Of Super Nintendo World
At long last, there's an update about the third theme part at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. Universal's Epic Universe will be home to Super Nintendo World in the state, which will resemble the themed land at Japan's Universal Studios Osaka. After being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, work on the park has resumed. A statement from Universal Orlando reads, "Work on Epic Universe paused in July 2020, as the company adjusted plans in the midst of the pandemic. The restart will begin immediately--but is expected to take several months before reaching full-speed as Universal re-staffs for the project and reassembles its vendor and contractor teams." Included in Epic Universe , beyond the theme park itself, is a hotel, shops, an entertainment center, and restaurants. British actor George Young has landed the male lead role in director James Wan’s top secret horror film, according to Variety. Young is best known in Singapore for his roles on Mediacorp Chanel 5's The Pupil and Mata Mata as well as the host of The Million Dollar Drop. The Chinese-Greek actor's other regional credits include the HBO Asia supernatural mini-series Grace and local auteur Eric Khoo’s erotic drama In the Room. Tentatively titled Silvercup, this will be Malaysian-born Wan’s project just before beginning preparations for the highly anticipated Aquaman sequel with Jason Momoa at the top of 2020.
